About this Product
Salem is a newly made rug. . . made with hand hooked wool strips on a linen base. It's very primitive and would look well on wall or floor. It measures 20 x 29. I made it using strips of my hand dyed wool from my leftover "noodle bag". As with all my big hooked pieces, this was finished off with cording and tapestry yarn to give it a nice finished edge. It comes with a letter that covers how to care for the rug, and its value for insurance. Salem is a copyrighted design by Lib Callaway, to which I own all rights.

Meet the Maker
I have always been attracted by colour and artistry, and enjoy working with fiber, paints, dyes and wool. I became a rug hooker in 1971, and for over 30 years it has been my occupation. As a certified instructor, I travel several times a year to teach this art. . and for it I dye wools, design and print patterns and hook as often as I can! Here will be finished items for sale, and eventually some dyed wools as well that are currently on Etsy. And perhaps a few other items as well!
