About this Product

Using the visible mending technique (sashiko) and upcycled materials, our pot placement mats showcase variations of 格子 (Kohshi - Check) and 十の木 (Jyu-no-ki - Cross Tree) patterns. These traditional Japanese designs symbolize prosperity and good fortune and have been loved for generations. Today, they continue to appear in kimono, fashion accessories, and home decor.

The sashiko patterns on the fabrics fun to look at and also makes them surprisingly tough and durable, a great choice for everyday use.
