About this Product
What looks like scattered coffee beans in this design is actually a traditional Japanese pattern called kaku-shippo, a variation of the 'shippo' pattern. The shippo pattern symbolizes connections between people and the endless interconnections among individuals. It also reflects the joy of a growing family.
This set includes a long mat, large enough to hold a couple of mugs, and a pot mat—perfect for a household of coffee lovers!
Not only are the sashiko patterns on the fabrics fun to look at, but this traditional visible mending embroidery also makes them surprisingly tough and durable, an excellent choice for everyday use!
Available in limited quantities due to the limited materials, each item is perfectly imperfect, with no two exactly alike.
