Scottish Targe are an iconic shield that hails from the late 16 to early 18 centuries, and they are beautiful as they are functional.
This targe measures 19.5 inches in diameter and features brass stud decor on a hand dyed leather front, with a brass boss imported from Scotland. It is backed with cow pelt and has offset grips to better facilitate the use of a dirk. The hand stitched grips are mounted with brackets made by Uggla's Night Forge.
