Meet the Maker
Hello, my name is Lorraine. My shop has original linocut art hand carved and printed by me, also, pen and ink drawings that I print on quality note cards. Most of my art is inspired by my photography and nature around me, so much to see and explore! I feel blessed to have art as an outlet now that I have free time to enjoy it again.
I am a retired art/preschool teacher and have learned as much from my wonderful students as they have from me. I asked many of my students to tell me about their drawings and they always have a story to tell with just a few lines that they drew, how refreshing!
I take care to make quality art by choosing the best papers, inks and printing in small amounts to ensure these standards. Hope you enjoy my shop, so glad you are here!

How it’s Made
This seagull linocut print was drawn onto a linoleum block by me and carefully carved using special carving tools, then after all the carving comes the fun part to print! I use quality paper and archival oil-based printing ink for all my linocut prints. I also have a hand press that I print with that gives me nice control over the pressure for each print. This print is truly unique!
Linocut art is so therapeutic.
