Our mini stick shelf sitters are great for adding a little charm to just about any room in your house - decorate your office desk at work, kitchen windowsill, craft room, mantel, or give as a small gift!
SIZE:
Will measure roughly 6 inches wide, 1-3/8 inches high, and 3/4 inches thick.
COLOR:
We can custom paint this in any color like! Colors in main photo are:
- Background is white, lightly distressed for a rustic look.
- Lettering is freehand brush-painted in blue-gray.

FINISHING DETAILS:
- Triple sealed with brush-on satin varnish for a beautiful, smooth finish.
- No hanger attached (meant for a shelf).
OUR PROCESS: We create all our signs start to finish, each one painted freehand without patterns or stencils, ensuring a unique piece of decor that can't be found in any department store! When you purchase one of our signs, you're buying a little piece of art right out of our studio!
OUR WOOD: All our signs are painted in reclaimed wood found throughout Washington state - torn down homes and barns, old fences, cast-offs from builders, etc. Each piece of wood is unique, with variations in grain, cracks, knots, slight bowing, and individual character - perfectly imperfect! This particular sign is made from knotty pine.

Meet the Maker
Creating something original and beautiful from discards is a passion shared by our family. Our Backyard Studio was born quite literally out of our back yard, with a summer spent with my husband and children scavenging, cutting, and painting all manner of things we found on our property. From there, it has grown into a full-fledged art business. All my work is painted the very old-fashioned way, completely free-hand without the use of stencils, patterns, or computers. We offer an ever-expanding collection of freehand lettered signs on reclaimed wood, personalized hand painted ornaments, custom peg dolls, and illustrative artwork on a variety of surfaces. We especially love to make seasonal & holiday decor!

How it’s Made
This item is handmade start to finish right here in the USA - it is NOT a mass-produced factory reproduction. We use quality materials and meticulous attention to detail to ensure you a lasting treasure. As with all hand-made artwork, brush-strokes are visible, and little imperfections that are characteristic of an item uniquely and lovingly made by the human hand.
Your item will be made in the same manner as the sign in photo, but will not be exactly as it appears in the picture. Freehand painting and natural wood make each item look a little different!

We strive for as quick a response as possible, but as we are a small family run business, please allow us 24 hours.
We live on the west coast, and may be in a different time zone than you.
To make sure we maintain a good work/life balance, we do not work on the weekends or holidays.
Payment: We accept all major Credit/Debit Cards via Stripe (we never see your card information)
How long until your order ships:
Most of our work is custom painted to order, not ready to ship. Please see item details for our current processing time, which varies by product (more complex items take longer to make).
Processing time is how long it takes us to make your order; Shipping time is how long it takes for USPS to deliver your order.
Business days do not include weekends or holidays.
Holiday hours:
During the holiday season, we paint and ship a very high volume of orders, and our processing time is significantly extended. If you hope to receive your order by certain date, we recommend you order as early as possible.
Please note that USPS holiday delivery schedules and inclement weather conditions may cause shipping delays.
Shipping:
We ship via USPS from Washington State, your choice of USPS Ground Advantage (2-5 business days), or Priority Mail (1-3 business days). Tracking included.
Shipping charges includes all costs associated with shipping your order, and are not refunded on the rare case of a return. We absorb excess shipping charges, and refund you any overpayments of significance.
International Shipping: At this time, we do not ship internationally.
Errors: Please check your shipping address carefully for errors. If your order is returned due to an incorrect address on your part, you will be required to cover the cost of re-shipping the item. If the error is ours, we will of course take care of it at our own expense.
Returns:
We generally do not accept returns. If you have an issue with your order, please let us know within 5 days of receipt, and we will do what we can to make you a happy customer.
In the rare case of a return: Shipping and handling fees are not refunded; Item must be returned in its complete original condition; Customer is responsible for return shipping cost.
Cancellations: We are happy to cancel your order if we haven't already started the work or purchased supplies needed for your item. Please contact us right away if you need to cancel.
Damages: We take great care in packing your order. If for some reason it is damaged during shipment (which is very rare), please report the damage to us within 2 days of receipt in order to meet USPS's deadline to fine a claim. Clear photos of the damage and packaging are required in order to process a refund or replacement.
Handmade Disclaimer: Due to the handmade nature of our products, each item will likely have minor differences and imperfections – our philosophy is that this adds the charm and individuality of artwork made by hand instead of a machine. In many cases, we have used reclaimed/repurposed materials to create our art, thus no two items will turn out exactly the same. Returns due to these characteristics will not be accepted, as they are the very nature of our work. All that said, we do not equate shoddy workmanship with “charm” – we create with quality in mind. Detailed photos are provided so that you can see exactly what you are getting – and because every computer monitor is different, we also describe the item as clearly as possible.
