About this Product

Seminole Pumpkin seeds: The Seminole pumpkin is a popular, hearty, and sweet variety known for its unsurpassed heat tolerance. Originally grown by the Native Americans along the coast, the Seminole pumpkin has a lot of character. The color will vary from dark green to tan depending on when you pick it. The shape is generally round to bell-shaped, but this pumpkin is a doppelganger. If it cross-pollinates with another squash it may take on the shape of the other variety ( i.e it may grow in a butternut squash shape if you have a bee cross-pollinate it with a butternut squash bloom). Images provided for this listing will illustrate the many faces and shapes of the Seminole pumpkin. This is a popular variety for warm climates but can be frowned upon elsewhere. The Seminole pumpkin is also a POWDERY MILDEW RESISTANT and VINE BORER RESISTANT, both a huge plus. The flavor is distinct and has been described as similar to butternut squash but much sweeter. The flesh is dense and slightly stringy. Each pumpkin will weigh 3-12 lbs, Maturity date is about 90 days. Vines can reach up to 25 feet long, some folks have let these climb up trees to save room. They are light so these are also a great variety to the trellis. These pumpkins will mature quicker in the warmer climates ( zone 6 and up ) so if you are in 5 or below, it's a good idea to start this inside 2 weeks before your last anticipated frost date. **Orders of 3 or more items at checkout will receive a free gift. ****NOTE TO ETSY: Seeds are domestic

Meet the Maker

Welcome to Blue Pumpkin Seed Co.! My lifelong love of gardening, especially pumpkins, led me to create this company.

We started as a small family business on Etsy in 2020, sharing our passion for heirloom seeds. Over time, I took charge to ensure this labor of love would flourish. I'm thrilled to now offer you a carefully curated selection of seeds directly.

The wonder of watching a seed grow continues to inspire me. As a fellow gardener, I share the same excitement and joy for gardening as our customers do.
