About this Product
These are the updated solid surfactant based shampoo bars. Although the old shampoo bars were wonderful (I used them for years), these new bars are EVEN BETTER! Again they have the same scents of the old bars, they lather great, and they leave your hair feeling clean, not greasy or weighted down. The difference is that they are pressed bars are made with surfactants and contain no lye and are pH appropriate for hair (6.0). These bars are 80 gm instead of the "standard" 60 gm bars most sell and easily last for 30 or more washings. Ingredients are all plant based and include BTMS 50 which is also in my conditioner bars and make the hair soft and manageable. Ricebran oil, foaming silk protein, panthenol (provitamin B5) and rhassoul or rose clay are additions that result in extra emollience and volume. Together these produce a natural moisturizing shampoo that makes your hair feel soft and manageable all day.
Once again these new solid shampoo bars go great with my solid conditioner bar and are great for travel. (Also consider the travel sized options under separate listing). Instructions for use: Wet hair, then rub the bar several times across your head. You don't need that much. The shampoo will lather generously. Rinse thoroughly. I typically wash only once, but if you feel moved to repeat you can.

I am Dr. Soaper. I have been working as an OB GYN since 1985 which I absolutely love. My distraction from work has always been crafting, and since 2009 it's been soaping. I love the creativity and I adore the final product and how it makes my skin feel. I am certified as an advanced soaper by the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild and I'm also a formulator of hair, skin, and face products. Everything I sell is made with plant based ingredients, in small batches. My products are only brought to the public after significant efforts to develop formulations that are consistently reliable and effective. And finally all of my products are developed with a ZERO WASTE lifestyle in mind. If I can't package it in glass, aluminum or paper/cardboard, I won't make it. I hope you try one of my products.
