Meet the Maker

Handmade durable theatrical clothing and costumes.

Welcome to our family shop! Everything that you see on this site is MADE BY HAND in our Ohio workshops! Making DURABLE costumes and clothing - to stand the test of time! I am Wenda and I am the main seamstress and pattern maker behind Wenda Lynne Designs shop (formerly Stone Bridge Renaissance Wear).

I learned sewing at an early age from my mother, grandmother and great grandmother (who sewed everything by hand). I later attended college for fashion design.

My parents and grandparents, having survived the great depression, told stories of resilience in hard times and instilled in me the knowledge that quality and durability matter. Those things that can stand up to daily use and not fall apart (something more and more difficult to find in current times). They instilled in me the importance of striving for excellence in all you do. As a costumer, I strive to carry these principles forward - in all I do.

Currently, I have been trending toward designing and sewing renaissance clothing and Theatrical costumes for theaters, opera houses, live historic villages (living history), and some children's clothing.

My family is also a musical family (Degreed trained professional musicians) so theatrical porductions, concert halls and participation with bands/choirs/orchestras was all part of my childhood.

That leads me to current times, working with theaters, re-enactment groups, cos play enthusiasts, renaissance fair participants and workers, and others who find joy in dressing in clothing from another time and place.

Everyone deserves to have durable costumes to live their dreams, and I can help with that!

It all starts with durable materials and fabrics - and ends with solid and strong construction.

All made to order to your specifications and custom sized to your measurements!

We are constantly evolving and expanding what we are creating. In these changing times, that is more important than ever before. We will continue passing that on "from our home to yours"!
