About this Product
Measures 8.5x5.5", this is a photocopy of a photograph I took- developed the film and photograph as I started of as an art major. Printed on heavy and textured cardstock, there are two runs of oil-based ink, the first in black in Garamond, and handset letters. The second run in red with woodtype blocks! These are artist's proofs, meaning that they aren't perfect.

Meet the Maker
I have been in the PNW for the most of my life, and have been making art for even longer! Take a look at my offerings that range from everyday use carry-all bags and pouches to fine art that will bring curiosity, comfort and or joy for years to come. With a BFA in Visual Design from the University of Oregon and years of experience in designing custom pieces, one of my proudest accomplishments was providing several hundred handmade masks after creating them with the most up-to-date knowledge during the Covid19 pandemic. Currently I create in my home while I also teach Pilates, substitute as a teaching assistant in Life Skills classrooms, and sometimes playing dark cuts at our local monthly goth night... all while single-mothering my two growing bebes- hindered only by the naughtiest snoopervisor cats I've ever met- OCTOPAW
How it’s Made
Letterpress on cardstock! These were limited to an edition of 40, and are artist's proofs, hence the discount. Letterpress is how the printed word made its way to readers all over the world, and for me served as a meditation. Each letter chosen from a drawer full of metal pieces each letter with a dedicated compartment- set by hand with little metal spacers, proofed several times to ensure no typos... then I could not resist the siren call of the fun carnival style wooden letters. Sick Mary is the title of a Switchblade Symphony song, one of my favorite bands as I was early in my DJ days that started at UO's campus radio station, KWVA Eugene, 88.1fm.
