About this Product
Magnificent iridescence in the grain of this bowl! As I was milling up this silver maple I saw this section of the tree and was immediately excited! I was hopeful that the bark inclusion would hold (IT DIDN'T ) but that’s okay, the natural edge rim of this bowl is exactly what it needed! size - 2.5" x 7"

How it’s Made
When making bowls I prefer the twice turned method. This means that I turn the wood green and then dry it for up to a year. during that time the grain will relax and then I will turn it again and apply finish. Wood is an Organic material that is constantly moving. This process means that the bowl will be more stable and hold its shape better. All of my bowls are coated with food safe linseed oil and bees wax.
