Steps for Knitting Small Circumferences on a Loom:
Loom Size: Use a smaller round loom for petite projects.
Cast On: Begin by e-wrap casting on stitches around the pegs.
Divide the Pegs: To simulate the "magic loop," work in smaller sections.
Knit Each Half Separately:
First, knit the stitches on one half of the loom.
Next, rotate to the other half and knit those stitches.
Continue Working Around: Keep alternating between sections as you knit around the loom. Remember to adjust the tension to keep your stitches even.
Finish the Project: When your project is the desired length, proceed to bind off as you normally would.
While it’s not exactly the same as the knitting needle version, this technique allows you to work small rounds on a loom in a way similar to the magic loop method. For very small circumferences, though, double-knitting or using an extra-small loom might be necessary to get the closest fit to the magic loop.
