Meet the Maker

"Job" is a dirty word. With this in mind, Jobless Industries was formed out of a desire to escape the world of jobs and bosses, and to make a living doing fun stuff. Based in Harrodsburg KY, Jobless Industries makes a variety of products, from the practical to the whimsical, predominantly out of wood, metal and epoxy.

Howdy! My friends call me Compass, and I run this little operation without any supervision. Since I was a kid, wood turning has fascinated me. And from the time I could operate power tools, I've enjoyed creating things out of wood, be it on a lathe or table saw. The vast majority of my turned pieces, and a smaller share of my other creations, are made from Kentucky native woods harvested locally by myself, or sourced from local sawmills. I get what supplies and materials I can from locally owned small businesses, and urge others to do so, as well. Thank you for taking a few moments to browse my page. If you see something you like and have questions, or would like to see more pics, send me a message.
