Small Painting Commission | Custom Art — A personalized Portrait of pet or person

Please read before ordering!

A custom portrait, made to last a lifetime, that captures the essence of you or your loved ones. Features an acrylic painting on canvas personalized by your photo and story. Each painting comes with a certificate of authenticity that ensures it’s a genuine work of art. With every portrait purchased, I will support The Humane Society of the United States which fights for animal protection.

PLEASE NOTE:

-This will be a portrait of the subject (person/pet) from the waist upwards. The 4x4” size is a close-up of the subject (face or, eyes, paws, etc.).

- I will NOT paint NSFW, detailed backgrounds, copyrighted characters, celebrities, or full body.

- The Flowers style is only up to 3 flowers for this listing.

- Add-on: Complex fur does NOT apply for the 4x4 size. Each add-on is for one subject (pet/person) only. If you're unsure on what qualifies for this add-on, contact me!

- Add-on: Digital file does NOT apply for the 4x4 size. I will send two png files via email, one like the original and one with a transparent background.

- Orders over $250 will require a signature confirmation.

- If ordering more than 2 paintings, I need to make a custom listing for you to calculate an accurate shipping cost.

- I make sizes available for purchase on request so I don’t receive more work than I can handle. Contact me if you’re interested in a painting and I will either make it available for you to order now or you can join my waitlist upon request.

PROCESS:  

1.  Place your order and personalize with the information below.  

2.  Send me the reference image via “contact seller” button or before ordering.  

3. After we communicate the idea, I will send you a rough draft and ensure you are satisfied before starting the portrait.  

4.  As I’m painting I will send progress photos and then a photo of the final result for your approval.  

5.  Once it’s done I will securely package the art and ship it to you :)

PERSONALIZATION:

STYLE

I can paint other things not listed here. Please message me to dicuss this more. Some examples include:

- Bubbles

- Butterflies

- Leaves

CANVAS

-Stretched canvas: Roughly half an inch in thickness. Can be hung by the wood stretcher bars alone. Can also be hung using the sawtooth hook or d-rings with wire I provide (not attached). 

-Canvas panel: Roughly half a centimeter in thickness. Cannot hang without a frame but I do provide plastic sawtooth hangers (not attached). 4x4” size only comes in canvas panel. 

-If you would like a different canvas shape or a specific size not listed, contact me.

BACKGROUND

-Let me know what color you’d like for the background; If you’re unsure, we can figure it out together. 

-If you chose a portrait with flowers, be specific about the flowers you would like (ex: red rose). 

REFERENCE IMAGE

-Send me the photo you would like me to paint in "contact seller" or before ordering. Please provide a good quality reference photo in color (ideally a close up). If you chose a portrait with flowers and you have specific flower photos to reference, send them.

-I can edit together several photos to use as a reference image for orders with multiple subject and/or flowers.

-Feel free to send me extra photos of whoever I’m painting and tell me a little about them. I’d like to capture the memory of them, not just copy the photo :)

REVISIONS

-A few major changes are allowed in the rough draft while we are communicating the idea. I will not begin painting until it is approved. 

-A few minor changes are allowed while I am painting the portrait. I will send a photo before varnishing for final approval. 

-No changes once the painting is varnished.

-I will not be taking revisions for the digital file, if purchased. I’ll simply refine small details.

GIFT

-Be sure to order in advance to ensure it arrives on time.

-If this is to be sent directly to the gift recipient, let me know if you don’t want the receipt included in the package. Also, please ensure the address you place the order with is the address you intend the portrait to be sent to.

REFUND

-Full refund if you cancel your order before I begin or if I cancel your order because I’m unable to reach you within 7 days BEFORE I start the rough draft.

-No full refund once I begin the rough draft.

-If I’m unable to start or complete your commission, you will receive a full or partial refund depending on the reason.

-If not a full refund, the amount refunded is based on how long I have worked on the piece.

- I accept cancellations within 1 hour of purchasing and also if you request me to cancel your order before I begin.

-I do not accept returns or exchanges as this is a custom item.

-If received damaged, refer to the damages section

DAMAGES

-I take great care when packaging these paintings to ensure they arrive safely. I take pride in the archival quality of each piece. To ensure your painting lasts as long as it should, check out the shop policy section under this listing. Also, additional insurance is included to cover the value of the artwork. 

-If received damaged, please reach out to me WITHIN 60 days of receipt with photos of the damage so we can resolve the issue.

-Item may be refunded once the issue is resolved.

-If damaged after receipt, I do not do refunds.

- Disclaimer: The extra items provided are offered as a gesture of appreciation and for your convenience. Art by Eternaly assumes no responsibility for any accidents that may occur while using them. Buyers agree to use these extras responsibly and at their own risk. 

COPYRIGHT

I, the artist, retain all copyright and reproduction rights to the commissioned artwork, including the right to display and reproduce the work for promotional purposes. The painting is for personal, non-commercial use only. However, you are permitted to resell the original artwork without making reproductions, provided that me, the artist, is credited as the original creator.

PRIVACY

I often share finished paintings on my social media pages to showcase my work. However, I understand that some commissions may feature personal subjects, such as family members, and I want to respect your privacy. Before I post, I will always seek your permission. If allowed to post, I may also include brief descriptions of the subject’s personality and names of pets.
