This fun pendant features a blue glass bead that has been wrapped in a snowflake style wrap that is made with copper wire. To make this piece, I took 4 small rods and started weaving a piece of 22 gauge round copper wire to make the snowflake pattern. Once I was done making the snowflake pattern, I pulled the rods from the wrap, added a blue glass bead, and strung the weaved wire onto it and wrapped it around the bead to make the snowflake shape. I then wrapped the extra wire from the snowflake frame around the end of the piece that has the bead to make the bail and to secure everything into place. Once that was done, I bent the longer pieces of the snowflake to give it the unique shape. This piece is handmade in Minnesota.
This piece measures 1.25" tall and 1.25" across and will come with a 21" braided black cord.
This piece is not oxidized but could be. The oxidization process is done by putting the piece in a mixture of liver of sulfur and water. I leave the piece for 30-45 seconds and then I pull it out and clean it with soap, water, and a piece of steel wool. I make sure not to scratch the stone when doing this.
