This adorable pendant features a blue faceted bead that is wrapped in copper wire. The frame is done by weaving a piece of 22 gauge round copper wire around 4 small rods to make the snowflake frame. Once I have enough of the frame made to fit around the bead, I pull it off of the rods and add the bead to another piece of 22 gauge round copper wire and string that wire through the center of the frame and wrap the frame around the bead. Once the frame is wrapped around the bead, I wrap the extra frame wire around the bead wire to make the bail. The last step is to bend the wires to make the snowflake more unique.
This piece measures 1.25" tall and 1.25" across and will come with a 20" braided black cord.
This piece is not oxidized but could be. The oxidization process is done by putting the piece in a mixture of liver of sulfur and water. I leave the piece until for 30-45 seconds and then I pull it out and clean it with soap, water, and a piece of steel wool. I make sure not to scratch the stone when doing this.
