Snowman Ornaments
made with real gourds, paper clay, paint and yarn
These are fun, little, primitive ornaments to hang on a tree, in a vase, in your car or anywhere a snow creature is needed.
Each little snow person has it's own silly personality (note that snow guy with a red cap and scarf has had a bite taken from it's carrot nose and he's still smiling!)
The listing includes the three snowmen pictured, ranging in size from approximately 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" to 2" x 3 1/4".

Meet the Maker
Hello, my name is Heidi and welcome to my shop.
Everything here is handmade and I often reclaim unused items, and/or create with bits of nature, such as leaves, twigs, or bark.
For nearly 10 years, I've dyed and printed with local plants and have enjoyed the mystery of how these plants, from my backyard, color fabric and paper in such an unpredictable and seemingly magical way.
In addition to printing from nature on fabric and paper, I use gourds from the garden, old Christmas bulbs, and a multitude of used items as part of a unique ornament or object. Mixed media creations, these turn out to be, often with paper clay or paper mache added to complete them. Oh, and I love to crochet, especially granny squares.

How it’s Made
it starts with a gourd... a Tennessee spinner gourd
grown in my Wisconsin garden from a seed
harvested, dried, cleaned
air dry clay added to create the form and features of a snow person
painted
yarn scarf added to keep the little snow person warm and cozy
