About this Product
The Solar Runabout is a small (about 4 inches tall) rocket model with a hidden compartment accessed by unscrewing the engine.
Inspired by the rockets of Flash Gordon and the golden age of sci-fi with a healthy dose of whimsy and playfulness.
The rocket is 3D printed and has fine layer lines on all parts and seams that are visible on some parts (most notably on the cap). All parts printed in PLA, a bio plastic.
Most LEGO mini-figs* will loosely snap into the engine!
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - - Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
*LEGO mini-fig not included.

How it’s Made
Custom designed by me using Rhino3D a 3D modeling program.
All prints are made by me using an FDM 3D printer using PLA - a plastic made from corn. An FDM printer works by laying down layers of molten plastic. Because of this, each part has what is called, "layer lines". These are faintly visible lines running through the part. The 3D printers I have are: Bambu Lab P1P, Bambu Lab A1 Mini, and an Ultimaker 2+.
