About this Product
This 1” oval rainbow river is bursting with metallic rainbow foil.
I first made the clay insert with a process called “mokume gane,” which is a Japanese clay technique involving stacking, cutting, and rolling. In this design I used translucent clay stacked between layers of rainbow foil. Pressed and stretched over and over, I was able to achieve this look, as if it were a natural crystal. I then cut the clay sheet into shapes of corresponding jewelry bezels and then baked the thin slice of clay. Then I added the clay insert to the bottom of the bezel, and domed with resin on top.
I love making mokume gane, and I’m super proud of these little slices of rainbow.
Hangs from a 20” golden chain.
Comes in a gold gift box.
