About this Product

I wanted a level for my Hasselblad 500c/m, but when I start looking at what people were charging for them I decided there ought to be an alternative that works just as well, looks good, but doesn't cost a fortune. This is that alternative!

I've made three different styles to choose from, so that people have a bit more freedom of expression. They all fit onto the camera body the same way the original does, on the accessory bar, and each one gets thoroughly tested/vetted for fit and balance before it is packed up and shipped.

Model A: This is the first design I came up with, and is my personal favorite. It is a tapered half circle that I designed so it would be less inclined to catch on anything (and look cool at the same time).

Model B: This is the most traditional of the three options, and most closely resembles the OEM shape.

Model C: Recognizing that the Hasselblad is often referred to as "a big box", I felt like a more angular design would be a tribute to that, so having some soft corners seemed fitting, while also still looking very good.

Things to consider when ordering:

  1. These are typically printed in black, no matter which design model is chosen, so that's what you should expect. Colorful versions are shown here strictly because they photograph better, and show more detail in color. If you want yours in a color other than black, be sure start a conversation with me to find out what other colors I have available at the moment!

  2. These levels are printed on-demand, which typically takes a few days to print, hand-tune, hand-assemble, and hand-test (occasionally longer, but not often). I send notice when your order has finish printing and has been hand-tuned, and checked for quality and usability, so you know how things are progressing.

  3. This listing is for the listed spirit/bubble level only. Anything else shown in the product images are for illustrative purposes only.

GRAND OPENING!!! I've been selling on other platforms for a few years now (approx 250 5-star reviews on a different platform), but wanted to join the GoImagine universe, since I think my stuff is more inline with this ethos. Hand-designed, hand-tuned, hand-tested quality. Here to help with some of those more niche analog photography needs! Thanks for coming and having a look. Your support means the world to me!

Meet the Maker

I have a strong passion for photography in general, and film/analog photography specifically. I also tend to lean into the more unique film formats, which definitely added challenges to home developing (amongst other things), so I started making my own solutions. Other people saw some of my creative (and money-conscious) solutions and started asking me if I could help them out too, which is why I opened up a shop so that sharing my creations could be easier to do, and so I would be and able to reach more people who were having the same problems I had faced.

I have two main goals with this shop. First is to offer easily usable and affordable solutions to film developing problems that I encountered. Most notably, development reels for formats that aren't readily available. My second goal is to offer affordability. Like for real, not as a sales pitch. I am 100% sure that my offerings fall into at least one of two categories; (1) Unique and usable. Many of my offerings are only available through my efforts, and not anywhere else. (2) Best value for price. A couple of the things I offer might have alternative options out in the world, but those are all so wildly overpriced than I decided to make an affordable one, first for me, then for anyone else who might be interested.

Everything I offer has been created by me, out of my personal need for a high quality, and also affordable, solution. Rest assured that if I am offering it here, it is because I am myself using it and have gotten it to a point of satisfaction in quality and usability that I feel it would benefit others as well.

How it’s Made

My spirit/bubble levels are 3D printed, and have been designed and refined through a lot of user feedback. They are printed in PLA+ material, which has proven to be sturdy and generally resilient. I hand-assemble, hand-test, and hand-refine each and every item that I ship, so you know you are going to get something that has passed the quality rigors of the designer.
