About this Product
Beautiful comfort Fit smooth Stainless band, with Petrified Wood inlay.
The inlay is natural stone, Petrified wood is considered to be a fossil that was preserved by silicification. Silicification is the replacement of original skeletal material through the concurrent dissolution of calcium carbonate and precipitation of silica.
This crushed petrified wood is from Arizona and formed during the Late Triassic period. At that time, downed trees accumulated in river channels that were subsequently buried by sediment containing volcanic ash. Groundwater then dissolved the silica from the volcanic ash and carried it into the logs, where it formed quartz crystals that gradually replaced the organic matter over time. Iron oxide and other trace elements combined with the silica to create the variety of colors that we see in petrified wood from Arizona today. This is super gorgeous material with a wonderful geologic story!

JD's Novelties
Meet the Maker
Hi My name is Danny, I retired in 2014 and moved to the Pacific Northwest to get out of the hustle and bustle of southern California. My background is in two main careers, I started out of high school working in machine shops as a Tool and Die/Mold maker, I did that for 18 years, at one point I was sent to a class for AutoCAD and that peaked my interest in computers. I went back to school, and got a degree in Computer Science, and spent 30 years working as an IT infrastructure Engineer for a large West Coast Bank. Even during my IT career, I still was making and fixing things in my garage. I made furniture, a custom bird cage for my wife's hobby, and repaired or restored countless things.
I moved up here to the Pacific Northwest and built a fairly full capability woodworking and metal machine shop and started making various types of crafts and novelties out of wood, acrylic, and metal to fill out my free time. I have CAD capabilities and can accommodate custom design projects if required.
I use high quality materials, and natural stone, and wood, I try to keep my prices low as possible I don't believe in pricing my items high just because other vendors do. I don't care to pay high prices, and I'm sure you don't either.
