Star Trek inspired lamp from the popular 90's television series The Next Generation. Featuring the USS Enterprise-D battling above the scary and grotesque cybernetic alien race known as The Borg. Enterprise model is static and hand painted. The Borg cube is translucent and lights up green. Lampshade proudly displays the Federation logo. Meet the Maker
My name is Christopher Mica. I am an Air Force brat and Veteran who likes to make things and is inspired by his love of science fiction and fantasy. I grew up all over the United States and outside of it. I have an Associates and Bachelors degree in Information technology. Was born to parents with mechanical and engineering skills. I have always loved to create things and figure out how things work. Most times I come up with an idea and create it as I go along, I normally do not plan it out before hand. I make these items in my spare time away from work and family which includes my wife and two sons. I am willing to work with customers if they want to request a specific themed lamp.
How it’s Made
USS Enterprise 3D printed with PLA filament and hand painted with acrylic paint. Borg Cube made from 5 panels of clear plastic acrylic prismatic ceiling light panels cut into 8x8 squares with 3 layers of 3D printed panels, old circuit boards, model tank kit parts and painted with acrylic spray paints. The lamp shade is made from corrugated plastic and EVA foam.
