The hand tied knot in the leather not only adds to the refined and stylish look of the necklace, it is functional too! The knot keeps the pendant centered so it will not ride up and down the leather cord as you move. This constant pendant movement can be annoying and also leave unsightly wear marks on the leather cord. With the pendant attached below the knot, no such irritating movement occurs...the weight of the knot and pendant tend to keep everything centered and the leather stays pristine!
▶️ There is an optional two (2) inch surgical stainless steel extender chain with a cute little sea turtle end charm at no additional cost for those that would like the flexibility to adjust the drop point of their necklace pendant. The extender chain allows for the pendant to be set at varying points to accommodate a range of necklines.

How it’s Made
I create these necklaces one at a time to order! I start with a superior grade soft, supple leather cord with great color. I tie a special knot in the leather to hang the pendant. The knot is ascetically pleasing AND keeps the pendant centered when the necklace is being worn. The knot also prevents the pendant from riding up and down the leather causing unsightly wear marks! I then add high quality leather cord ends, connectors and a lobster claw clasp to finish the necklace!
