Beautifully patterned and domed 2-inch medallion with 4 mm round black leather and a silver magnetic clasp. This item is all handmade with beautiful 20 gauge sterling silver sheet metal, patterned forged, and then soldered. You have your choice of two lengths, 18'' and 20'' The length shown is 18''. The length might seem long to you, but the leather runs through the top to the center of the disk.

Meet the Maker
I've always been a maker, I love creating. I started making jewelry in 2000 when I decided to take a beading class with some friends. I enjoyed it so much that I took more and more classes in my spare time away from my interior design business. The more I made the better I got and soon I had people asking to buy jewelry I was making. One thing we do another and after about a year, I left the interior design business, created a website, and started doing art shows. I never looked back. I have been self-employed now since 2002 and I continue to do Art shows to this day. During the pandemic, I decided I wanted to learn how to do metalsmithing. So I took all of my classes on YouTube and I practiced practiced practiced. I learned about the tools and the techniques which I'm still learning. I love working for myself and creating beautiful jewelry that people love. Locally, you can find my jewelry at Old Town, Artisan, Studios, Borrego Springs Art Institute, and Cabot Museum

How it’s Made
I texture 20 gauge sterling silver sheet metal and cut it into a 2-inch circle which I dome. I file out all the rough edges and create the loop for the back of the pendant which I solder in place. I pickle the silver and tumble it, and attach the leather cord with the magnetic clasp.
