The stones measure about 8 x 13 mm, and the drop length is 1 1/4”.

Rainbow Moonstone is a variety of Labradorite which has a shimmering or iridescent quality so similar to Moonstone that they are considered to be the same gemstone. Labradorite, Sunstone and Amazonite have very similar chemical compositions and are also types of feldspars.
Moonstone is found in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Madagascar, Brazil, Australia and India. The various colors only come from India and the other sources yield white moonstone. In India, rainbow moonstone is mined in the southwest and blue is mined at Bihar in the center of the country.
