Meet the Maker
As a child, I have been playing with modelling clay, shaping it in various ways, turning it into anything I desired; people, vehicles, animals, and my favorite, dinosaurs.
I rediscovered my passion for clay crafts before the pandemic. But before that, when I was in college, I did drawings and paintings, and even made some one shot strips of manga (Japanese comics). It seemed I forgot about clay.
I realized, that, before and during the pandemic times, I still have the heart to craft clay using my hands and some tools. Every time I watch videos and movies, read books, re-study history and meeting people, those are my driving force to use my hands and let my imagination guide me as I work on my crafts.
If I can remember my own realization back then, "an artist needs two letter I's: inspiration and influence." Until now, I apply that to myself as an artist.
