Meet the Maker
Hello! I’m Carrie, the face behind Meandering Stream Ceramics! I took my first pottery class in January 2023, and was hooked. Now I need to sell some pieces to make room in my house, and to support my habit. ;) I’m often inspired by nature and the colorful world we live in.
My day job is teaching singing lessons! Music is my first passion. My husband is also a musician - we met in music school! Our family is rounded out with our 2 adult kids, and our rescue doggo Bailey. We live in the far west burbs of Chicago, but have family connections to Northern Michigan and Newfoundland, Canada. I am often inspired, and awed, by the beauty of where we grew up.
How it’s Made
This mug is hand built from stoneware clay, with a beautiful sweater pattern imprint. The buttons are glazed with a copper glaze. As a hand built item, it is unique and one of a kind.
All glazes are food safe, and the mug is dishwasher and microwave safe.
