On my first trip to Colorado, my husband drove us straight up to Pike's Peak, which tops out at over 14K ft. Being raised a mountain girl, I'm ashamed to say that when we reached the switchback turns and those "big vistas," I whimpered. Just a little, ok, a lot... I did become fascinated with that part of the drive and took the map, traced it in wire and can now be reminded of that harrowing drive every time I wear these! Just FYI, there are no guard rails on those switchback turns... These switchback turns are in sterling silver and hang about 2" including the 1/2" diameter French hoops.

Each design is an original creation, handcrafted by Tammy Allen out of her home studio in Lake Lure, NC. An artist for most of her life, Tammy dabbled as a seamstress, painter and sculptor until she discovered jewelry making in 2008. With Bachelors of Fine Art, Tammy enjoys creating small, wearable works of art in sterling silver and gold-filled metals.
