You need to know the basics of how to tat in order to follow this pattern, as it does not include any basic tatting instruction. This is my original design which I have prepared in PDF format.
Easy level for tatters that know how to tat rings, chains, and joins, and good practice for tatting with beads. The instruction for tatting the basic motif without beads is also included.
Although it may be tatted using either needle or shuttle, the instructions and photos are shown from the shuttle tatting perspective only.
The pendant is made using size 10 Lizbeth thread, one 6mm round bead, and 50 size 11/0 Toho seed beads. (Toho seed beads are recommended because they have a larger hole that will fit onto size 10 thread.) Earrings (or a smaller pendant) can be made using either size 20 or size 40 thread, either size 11/0 or 15/0 seed beads, and 4mm to 3mm round beads. Bracelet is shown in size 20 thread, but could also be made of size 10 or size 40 thread.
