Each earring is made of 2 separate parts: a main motif plus a narrow pendulum for some extra movement, hence the title, "Kinetic".
You need to be experienced at tatting to be able to follow this challenging pattern, as it does not include any basic tatting instruction. This is an advanced level, two shuttle pattern which I have designed and prepared in PDF format. Although it may be tatted using either needle or shuttle, the instructions and photos are shown from the shuttle tatting perspective only.
The 4 page file includes:

*A photo with stitch counts written on it.
Techniques used include rings, picots, chains, joins, lock joins, bead picots, floating rings, split rings, lock stitch chains, and loop tatted rings.
In size 20 thread the tatted earrings measure between 1 and 3/4 inches to 2 inches long, and about 1 inch wide.
Materials you will need:
- 2 tatting shuttles
- Small steel crochet hook (for joins)
- Crochet thread size 20: about 12 yards
- Wide eye beading needle
- Size 11° Delicas beads: 62 (size 15° seed beads work as well)
- 4mm beads: 2
- 4mm jump rings: 4
- 6mm jump rings: 4
- Earring findings of your choice
