You need to already have some experience with tatting to be able to follow this pattern, as it does not include any basic tatting instruction. This is an intermediate level Celtic shuttle tatting pattern which I have designed and prepared in PDF format.
Although the project can be tatted using either needle or shuttle, the instructions and photos are shown from the shuttle tatting perspective only.
The 9 page file includes:
*Written directions in English,
*List of supplies needed,
*Diagrams with stitch counts,
*In-progress photographs.
Techniques used include chain, bead placed over a picot, lock join, shoelace trick, ring, using a Celtic shuttle to weave through a tatted motif.
Materials you will need:
- 1 tatting shuttle (any kind)
- 1 Celtic shuttle, narrow
- Size 10 thread
- Size 20 thread
- Small steel crochet hook about size 12/1.00mm (for joins)
- 25 size 8° seed beads
- 1 round bead, 6mm
- 2 small paper clips or coiless safety pins
- Embroidery needle to sew in ends
- Jewelry findings of your choice
