You need to know the basics of tatting in order to follow this pattern, as it does not include any basic tatting instruction. This is my original design for a pendant and earrings which I have prepared in PDF format.
This pattern is recommended for experienced tatters. Although it may be tatted using either needle or shuttle, the instructions and photos are shown from the shuttle tatting perspective only.
Techniques for the pendant include: ring, floating ring, curled ring, chain, picot, bead picot, join, lock join, Celtic weaving, encapsulation.
Techniques for the earrings include: ring, floating ring, split ring, chain, picot, bead picot, Daisy picot, join, lock join, encapsulation.
Supplies used for both pendant and earrings are size 20 thread (2 to 4 colors optional), size 15/0 seed beads and 4mm beads.
A narrow Celtic shuttle is used in part of the pendant pattern.
3 shuttles (any kind) are used in the pendant and the earrings.
