You need to have some experience at tatting to be able to follow this pattern, as it does not include any basic tatting instruction. This is a two shuttle, advanced level pattern which I have designed and prepared in PDF format.
Although it may be tatted using either needle or shuttle, the instructions and photos are shown from the shuttle tatting perspective only.
The 4 page file includes:
*Written instructions in English,
*List of supplies needed,
*In progress photographs
*Stitch counts written on some of the photos
Techniques used are rings, picots, join, lock join, bead on picot, floating rings off chain with 2nd shuttle, split ring and split chain.
The measurement of the finished tatting in size 3 thread is 3.5 inches (9cm) wide at center, and 7 inches (17cm) long on each side.
Materials recommended:
Size 3 Lizbeth thread: 50 yards (46m)
2 large tatting shuttles
Small crochet hook
7/8” (22mm) shank buttons: 2
Large hole 4mm beads or size 6° seed beads: 14
7/8” (22mm) satin ribbon: 6 yards (5.4m)
3/8” (9mm) satin ribbon: 4 feet (1.2m)
Smaller thread with smaller buttons, beads and ribbon may be used instead for a daintier lace project.
