This is the shuttle tatting pattern. There is a needle tatting version of this pattern in another listing.
You need to have some experience at tatting to be able to follow this pattern, as it does not include any basic tatting instruction. This is a two shuttle, advanced level pattern which I have designed and prepared in PDF format.
Although it may be tatted using either needle or shuttle, the instructions and photos in this pattern are shown from the shuttle tatting perspective only.

No diagrams.
Techniques used are rings, picots, open end chain, node stitch (also called Victorian sets or zigzag tatting), drop picot, bead on picot, floating rings off chain with 2nd shuttle, lock stitch, lock join, and Catherine Wheel join.
In size 20 thread, the length of the finished tatting is about 1 ¾ inches (4.4 cm).
Materials you will need:
- 2 shuttles (or 2 tatting needles)
- Small steel crochet hook (for joins)
- Small paper clips or coiless safety pins
- Size 10 or size 20 crochet thread
- 2 size 4mm round beads (with size 20 thread) or 1 size 6mm round bead (with size 10 thread)
- Jewelry findings to finish as earrings or pendant necklace
