About this Product
This is a beautiful handmade gemstone jewelry necklace made with larger oval teal jasper (yellow turquoise) beads, red agate beads, freshwater cultured pearls and sterling silver spacers. At the center, is a large yellow turquoise marquise shaped bead pendant, accented with sterling silver spacers. The necklace is approximately 19 inches long and set with sterling silver S-hook clasp. The pendant drop is 2 1/2 inches. The yellow turquoise is a deep teal, with green and black shadings. The red agate is bright red-orange color, which makes a lovely contrast to the darker blues and greens.

Yellow turquoise is the trade name for this blue-green gemstone. It is a blend of quartz, jasper and serpentine occurring in the same mines as turquoise. These beads are dyed in blues and greens to resemble Monet's gardens or the waters of the South Pacific. It also resembles the much higher-priced gemstone, chrysocolla.

How it’s Made
I made this necklace by stringing the 25 mm x 18 mm Yellow Turquoise beads, 12 mm x 8 mm Red Agate, 6 mm Cultured Pearls and Sterling Silver spacers, placing the pendant at the center, and finishing with knotted French wire loops and 6 mm Red Agate beads The necklace is set with a decorative and sturdy Sterling Silver S-Hook clasp.
