About this Product

You're read for the fashion meetup and are going to tea. All of your peers will be dressed to the nines. You want to impress them, too.

It's the little details that really can make or break a coordinate. You pick out the delicate bodice chain to evoke the subtlest hint of the Renaissance period.

This bodice jewelry is meant to be clasped to the bodice of a dress with loops for hanging such brooches, although it works perfectly fine clipped to sturdier laces. It has a lobster clasp on either end.

These are made to order as I have limited materials.

Meet the Maker

I've been wearing EGL fashion since 2014 and hand making lace since 2019.

I aim to be active members of both communities, being an active member of my 2 most local J-fashion comms as well as IOLI and CRLG.

How it’s Made

I was inspired by a video I found talking about chains of office. I decided to make one and quickly realized I didn't have anywhere near enough metal pieces to make one. I decided, on a whim, to make it into a chain that would hang off my bodice with my EGL dresses. I've seen that style of accessory on many brand EGL dresses, albeit done with mostly chains and beads, so I knew it would look great.

I used glue to secure the ends after hiding them.

I liked it so much I decided to go ahead and make it available to the general public. If I revisit this concept again, I'll use different metal pieces.
