The ferryman, his weathered face etched with untold stories, propelled the rickety skiff across the River Acheron. Its waters, surprisingly clear, held a faint, ethereal luminescence. Charon, silent and watchful, steered the boat with practiced ease. Stepping tentatively onto the bank, I found myself enveloped in a landscape bathed in an otherworldly twilight.
