Details: This bangle is hand-forged from a single piece of solid copper wire and soldered to form a complete circle. Each one is totally unique, and made to order just for you! See my "about" page and watch the video of how I make them.
Custom Sizes: I can make any size bangle! Just order the closest size and leave a message in the "note to seller" box during checkout. You can enter the circumference you want in fractions of an inch, or cm and mm. Or, you can measure a favorite bangle that fits well. Set a ruler flat on a table and put the bangle on top to measure the widest point to find the diameter. Feel free to message me as well.
Care: wipe clean with a soft cloth.

Sizing details
If in doubt about what size you need, just send me the circumference (measurement around) your wrist for cuffs and the measurement around your squished together fingers for bangles. Let me know if you like a tighter or looser fit, or if you prefer a certain size gap in your cuffs. Leave me a note when you place your order and I'll take care of the rest. If your cuff doesn't fit perfectly, I'll fix it for free (minus shipping).
Care instructions for Fold Formed Statement Cuffs
Most of Lou's bracelets are made from copper wire or rod and have been burnished and polished. Copper is sensitive to its environment and the color will vary, sometimes more brown, sometimes brighter. The more you wear it, the shinier it will stay, and a pinch of baking soda/sodium bicarbonate with your hand soap when you wash your hands, will also keep the copper bright and shiny.
Avoid commercial or DIY copper/brass cleaners such as Brasso or ketchup because these will ruin the patina and polish. Instead use a fine jewelry polishing cloth or fine jewelry polish.
Custom and personalized orders
Feel free to draw a little sketch and send a photo with your phone if you aren't able to describe what you would like in words. I can do custom stamping in various places and various orientations on most of the bracelets I offer, so if you have a custom request, just let me know! More ready made custom bracelets will be listed periodically.
Will copper turn my skin green?
Maybe! It turns my skin green right around my wrist where my cuffs rest because I wear them all the time. Generally, this happens in the summer because our skin is a little acidic and the salt in the sweat combine to react with the copper-it will happen regardless of any wax or polish or varnish or even metal plating I have tried! Unless you are sensitive or allergic to copper, this is not a problem and is easily removed with hand soap and a pinch of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate).
Will my copper jewelry turn green?
Nope! It will turn various shades of brown and you can polish it back up with a silver polishing cloth or a little baking soda (sodium bicarbonate).
