Thunbergia/ Black-eyed Susan climbing vine: flower seeds (perennial):
Contrary to the name, this vining beauty actually has nothing to do with traditional Black-Eyed Susans. They do, however, share a similar appearance. Thunbergia was originally native to East Africa but can be found just about anywhere. The vines are thinner and trail beautifully up hanging baskets, trellises, fencing, etc. The blooms in the mix are a variety of oranges, yellows, and whites. Each rounded star shape blooms have a distinct deep dark brown center.
This leafage is a deep green color while the blooms boast 6' blossoms in an array of oranges, yellows, and whites. The foliage is thick and dense, making it ideal as a privacy barrier, or grown where it can shade out the sun such as a gazebo or pergola. Although these are annual, they do behave like a perennial in that they reseed successfully each year, and will grow back where they have reseeded.
Thunbergia does well in hot weather and is heat tolerant. The blooms will last from spring till kill frost.
