This is one of my favorites. It is shiny enough to be flashy, but small enough to quietly sit there. The frame measures 6" x 6", weighs 6.4 ounces and has a caramel relief design. The dragonfly has a 5" wingspan and is decoupaged with an exotic, tropical paper.

I am a retired math teacher who loves shopping at small gift shops, especially when the products are handmade. Fortunately I have time to make handmade products of my own and I am excited to become a member of a handmade community.
My 3-D wall art is constructed using recycled picture frames and wood dragonflies decoupaged with imported papers. The combination of used metal and wooden frames and handcrafted dragonflies makes each piece one-of-a-kind. Because the frames are recycled, some may have slight imperfections. This adds to the unique, handmade character of each design.
The dragonflies make a fine gift for birthdays, a new home, holidays, or a special treat for you! Decorate a small spot with one frame or buy a few to create an interesting arrangement. They can be displayed in your choice of orientation on a wall*, shelf, stand, mantle, or hearth. My frames cannot be used to display photos: they are intended as art in their own right.
There are no duplicates of these dragonfly frames. When you purchase one, you are buying an original design. New designs will be added at least once a month.
*Display hardware is not included.

How it’s Made
I find beautiful, interesting picture frames (and usually a few other items) in thrift stores. I remove the backing and hanging hardware and clean them up. Sometimes I spruce the frames up with a little paint, but for the most part, I leave the flaws just the way they are. I like the simplicity of one frame, but I use two in about a third of my pieces.
While the search for great frames is fun, choosing which dragonfly and the paper to use on it is even better. I have multiple shapes and sizes of wooden dragonflies and over thirty imported papers. I decoupage and clear coat each and then adhere them to the frame. Each one is truly unique which makes this whole process so satisfying.
Shop Policies
The frames do not come with mounting materials. Many of them can stand on their own. Note that when using a stand, a bit of the stand will show through.
If the frame arrives damaged, it can be returned for repair, replacement with a different frame, or returned for a refund within 30 from the date of ordering. Please email me, if you run into any problems.
I will ship your artwork within 3-5 days of ordering.
