These hand carved, fine silver oval dangle earrings are edged with an overlay of 22 karat gold. Delicate yet rustic, they hang from hand fabricated sterling silver ear wires that are uniquely embellished with hammered dots of pure, 22 karat gold.
Organic and freeform, they are finished with a black patina that enhances the details of the carving.
They are carved on the back, too, and marked with my maker's mark.
Beautiful, one of a kind earrings for the art lover.
They measure about 3/4 x 1/2 inches (19 x 13 mm). Together with the ear wires, they hang about 1 1/4 inches (32 mm).

Meet the Maker
I am a craftsperson making artfully hand-carved sterling silver jewelry. I make jewelry for art lovers. My work is modern, free-spirited and uncommon. When you purchase a piece from me, you are getting a special treasure to enjoy for years to come.
My background as a graphic designer influences everything I create. Carving, line, shape and texture are always at the forefront. Each piece is individually hand carved, imparting a richness of pattern and texture. Because of the nature of hand-carving, my jewelry has a special uniqueness-- no two pieces will ever be exactly alike!
Some fun facts: I started designing and making silver jewelry in 2008, and began selling my work in 2009. I have made over 3000 pieces since then! I'm a Rio Grande certified artisan in metal clay and have achieved level one of the Metal Clay Masters Registry (https://metalclaynow.com/index.php/gallery/masters-registry). I'm also a graduate of Paier School of Art and have worked all my life as a designer. My jewelry collections have been represented in shops and galleries across the United States.
My studio practices are eco-friendly. I use non-toxic and recycled materials whenever possible. I care about our earth and the health of all beings.
Pieces are offered in solid sterling silver or sterling silver accented with a pure, 22 karat gold overlay that is hand-applied.

How it’s Made
To handcraft the unique earwires, I melt a piece of 22 karat gold scrap until is forms a ball. I then hammer the little ball of gold flat. I let it keep its organic form and edges. I the solder this piece of gold onto sterling silver wire. Then, I shape the wire into a fish hook style ear wire, using a mandrel to round the shape.

My work is warrantied against defects. This warranty does not cover wear and tear, scratches or obvious abuse.
