The neckline of the newborn sleep sack is made for easy-on and easy-off; and there is elastic around the bottom hem, making for easy access for diaper changes. The sleeves have a fold over cuff to keep hands warm and prevent the baby from scratching himself /herself with those sharp little fingernails.
Due to the vintage nature of upcycled shirts, there may be slight discolorations or imperfection in the fabric. However, I believe this is part of the uniqueness and charm of these gowns.
To launder, simply wash with your child’s clothing on a normal wash and dry cycle. No special wash or care instructions for this item.

Meet the Maker
I remember as a child watching my Grandmother crochet and create beautiful gifts for family and friends. Every summer we would spend a week with her and I always asked her to teach me to crochet she would always try but we were never there long enough or often enough for me to really learn the craft. Even though my Grandmother never had the chance to teach me to crochet she did instill in me the love of handcrafted gifts from the heart.
I have always loved to make crafts it started with latch hook rugs, then needlepoint and eventually I did teach myself how to crochet but my current passion is sewing. I love taking a piece of fabric and transforming it into something unexpected.
After my second son was born I needed a creative outlet. Now that I was exposed to the world of boys (I grew up with two older sisters) I learned that there wasn't many options for boys at the craft shows that I often went to. I started looking for ideas of something I could make that would appeal to boys and girls when I came across the idea of making lounge pants out of old t shirts. I loved the idea of upcyling and who doesn't have an over abundance of t shirts?
Since I started this business in 2010 it has become much more than a hobby for me it is a way to express myself and stretch my creative muscles. I can never look at a t-shirt the same way again!
