About this Product

These Delrin® Mini-Pucks for arbor press are handy for all sorts of jewelry making needs. From flattening and straightening metal pieces to flattening spoons and silverware pieces, all without damaging the designs and details in your metal work.

They're also great for flattening the brim of your coins while making coin cowboy hats - the brim bows up a bit while doming due to the thickness of the coins. As an important in-between step, you'll need to flatten the brim prior to switching to the folding puck so that you get a nice brim fold and not damage your brim folding puck.

This Delrin® Mini-Puck Set makes it easy – two Delrin® pucks (one with a neodymium magnet and one without) – place the magnetic puck on the foot of your arbor press and the other puck on a firm flat surface below it, place your metal work piece on the bottom puck, and give it a press – for cowboy hats, the brim will lay nice and flat without damaging the dome with a gentle press, then your ready to switch to the folding puck.

** The set includes **

  • (2) 1-¼” x ½” Delrin Pucks (1 with neodymium magnet)

  • Instructions Sheet

Meet the Maker

Handcrafted coin rings & pendants began as a hobby and quickly became an obsession. From the punches and dies, to annealing and forging, to polishing and antiquing – the process drew me in.

There were a lot of things I like making that custom tools and jigs could help with, so I started designing and making jigs, and then decided to make them available to other makers.

Coins inherently have their own story – their own history. For generations, they’ve been carried, collected, passed down, exchanged and traveled.

Turning coins into jewelry allows us to become part of that story – they travel with us. Whether keepsakes, anniversaries, birthdays, or surprises, the story continues.

Early forms of currency were bits and shapes of silver, they were “UnMinted“ coins. Over the years, they became individualized to people and groups who developed and standardized them.

I like to think that, in a way, we’re going back to the roots.

How it’s Made

I cut these pucks from Delrin® rod stock, then mount a strong neodymium magnet into one of the pucks.
