About this Product
The "Cowboy Hat" Crown Creaser is an UnMinted Coin Co. custom designed tool, used for adding a nice, sharp crease in the dome on your coin cowboy hats, and works with Penny, Nickel, Dime, Quarter, and Half Dollar hats.
Place your finished cowboy hat on a firm flat surface on your press (the DELRIN® PUCKS work great for this - please see other UnMinted listings): https://goimagine.com/unmintedltd/?category_id=44620
IMPORTANT: Do not use the cowboy hat folding puck as the base, it could cause damage to the puck.
Using the neodymium magnet side, attach the crown creaser to your arbor press foot, and rotate it into place over your cowboy hat. Rotate the hat and creaser, aligning them as desired. Once aligned, give it a gentle press to the depth you would like the crease.
Start slowly, as if you don’t move things around, you can continue to press a bit more if you want a deeper crease.

Meet the Maker
Handcrafted coin rings & pendants began as a hobby and quickly became an obsession. From the punches and dies, to annealing and forging, to polishing and antiquing – the process drew me in.
There were a lot of things I like making that custom tools and jigs could help with, so I started designing and making jigs, and then decided to make them available to other makers.
Coins inherently have their own story – their own history. For generations, they’ve been carried, collected, passed down, exchanged and traveled.
Turning coins into jewelry allows us to become part of that story – they travel with us. Whether keepsakes, anniversaries, birthdays, or surprises, the story continues.
Early forms of currency were bits and shapes of silver, they were “UnMinted“ coins. Over the years, they became individualized to people and groups who developed and standardized them.
I like to think that, in a way, we’re going back to the roots.

How it’s Made
I designed these using Blender, and 3d print them on my Bambu Lab A1 Mini printers. I then cut and mount ⅛" key stock, and mount the strong neodymium magnet.
