JIG DIMENSIONS:
Height: 1.54″ (38.8mm)
Width: 1.65″ (41.8mm)
Depth: 0.95" (24.2mm)
Start by making your coin ring in a US size 9 (8.75 to 9.25 range) with a band width of up to 1/4" (US Quarters work great with a 1/2" center punch).
Anneal your finished coin ring to make it workable, and drop it onto the two steel dowel pins of the heart jig base and raise the jig upright towards you so that your coin ring rests on the pins.
Using the horizontal line towards the bottom of the base as a guide, position the heart jig top panel into the base, aligning the bottom heart creaser into the center of the coin ring and the top heart creaser above the coin ring so that the top panel nests fully flush into the heart jig base.
Please Note: If the top panel doesn't fit comfortably into the base, you'll need to adjust your coin ring size to make sure it's between a US size 8.75 to 9.25.
Once the top panel of the heart jig is in place and flush to the base, hold the two pieces of the jig on the front and back to keep the two pieces together, and rest the jig on the steel plate of your arbor press.
Using the arbor press, continue holding the two pieces together (being careful not to pinch your fingers), and press the top panel of the jig down until the top panel sits evenly with the top edge of the base.
That's it! Open the heart jig to reveal your coin ring heart, ready for mounting as a pendant or keychain.

Meet the Maker
Handcrafted coin rings & pendants began as a hobby and quickly became an obsession. From the punches and dies, to annealing and forging, to polishing and antiquing – the process drew me in.
There were a lot of things I like making that custom tools and jigs could help with, so I started designing and making jigs, and then decided to make them available to other makers.
Coins inherently have their own story – their own history. For generations, they’ve been carried, collected, passed down, exchanged and traveled.
Turning coins into jewelry allows us to become part of that story – they travel with us. Whether keepsakes, anniversaries, birthdays, or surprises, the story continues.
Early forms of currency were bits and shapes of silver, they were “UnMinted“ coins. Over the years, they became individualized to people and groups who developed and standardized them.
I like to think that, in a way, we’re going back to the roots.

How it’s Made
I designed these in Shapr3d, and print them in solid PLA+ on my Bambu Lab A1 Mini printers before using an arbor press to mount the steel machine keys and dowel pins.
