About this Product

The Pocket Center Finder Jig is an UnMinted custom designed tool that helps you quickly and easily find and mark the center of your coins, discs and punches, as well as quickly draw centered circles.

Are you a jewelry or bell maker and need to find the center of a disc for a bale or handle? Use the tool to mark a center line on you coin or disc, (works great from small to large), then rotate the coin or disc and mark a second line to find your center point.

Need a circle for aligning a coin or disc in your punch set? Place the coin or disc on a solid surface (over-hanging the side of a smooth table-top is easiest) and using the marker holes along the edge, spin the coin beneath in order to draw your centered circle. If you need to mark thin coins or discs, you may need to stack a couple underneath to act as a spacer to raise it up a bit.

Please Note: Designed to work best with an Ultra Fine Point Sharpie® marker (INCLUDED).

Includes:

- 3D Printed Nylon Pocket Center Finder

- Black Ultra Fine Point Sharpie® Permanent Marker (polishes off coins and discs)

- Instructions Sheet

Coins shown, not included.

Meet the Maker

Handcrafted coin rings & pendants began as a hobby and quickly became an obsession. From the punches and dies, to annealing and forging, to polishing and antiquing – the process drew me in.

There were a lot of things I like making that custom tools and jigs could help with, so I started designing and making jigs, and then decided to make them available to other makers.

Coins inherently have their own story – their own history. For generations, they’ve been carried, collected, passed down, exchanged and traveled.

Turning coins into jewelry allows us to become part of that story – they travel with us. Whether keepsakes, anniversaries, birthdays, or surprises, the story continues.

Early forms of currency were bits and shapes of silver, they were “UnMinted“ coins. Over the years, they became individualized to people and groups who developed and standardized them.

I like to think that, in a way, we’re going back to the roots.

How it’s Made

I designed these in Blender, and I partner with a central Ohio shop to get them printed in solid nylon on an HP Multi-Jet Fusion 3d Printer.
