Handcrafted coin earrings made from 1946-present US Franklin D. Roosevelt Dimes.
Available in a brightly hand polished finish.
Dime “Cowboy Hat” earrings are hung from stainless steel, nickel free earring hooks with silicone backings.
Delivered in an UnMinted LTD branded kraft coin enveloped and card.
US Franklin D. Roosevelt Dimes were minted 1946-present – designed by John R. Sinnock, consisting of a bust of FDR, “LIBERTY”, “In God We Trust”, Mint Mark, and Date on the Obverse. And, featuring an olive branch, torch and oak branch on the Reverse.
These coin earrings are handcrafted from actual US Dimes with assorted dates, 1946-present. Handcrafted, individually unique, carefully worked, and hung from hung from stainless steel, nickel free earring hooks with silicone backings.
With time and wear, your earring’s finish will naturally begin to evolve, a quick polish with a jewelry cleaning cloth works great along the way.

Meet the Maker
Handcrafted coin rings & pendants began as a hobby and quickly became an obsession. From the punches and dies, to annealing and forging, to polishing and antiquing – the process drew me in.
There were a lot of things I like making that custom tools and jigs could help with, so I started designing and making jigs, and then decided to make them available to other makers.
Coins inherently have their own story – their own history. For generations, they’ve been carried, collected, passed down, exchanged and traveled.
Turning coins into jewelry allows us to become part of that story – they travel with us. Whether keepsakes, anniversaries, birthdays, or surprises, the story continues.
Early forms of currency were bits and shapes of silver, they were “UnMinted“ coins. Over the years, they became individualized to people and groups who developed and standardized them.
I like to think that, in a way, we’re going back to the roots.

How it’s Made
I make these dime cowboy hats - the dimes are annealed with a propane torch, formed and shaped using the coin tools that I designed and make - they are then polished and hung from stainless steel ear wires.
