US quarters in the 50 state quarters program were minted 1999 through 2008, 5 states per year, in the order that the states were ratified into the Union.
The obverse of the coin was designed by John Flanagan, and features a bust of George Washington, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "LIBERTY", "IN GOD WE TRUST", and "QUARTER DOLLAR". The reverse of the coins vary, as the designs were submitted by each state as part of the program, featuring 5 designs per year.
These quarter pendants are handcrafted from actual US Quarters with dates ranging from 1999-2008.

Handcrafted, individually unique, carefully worked, and hung your choice of a tied waxed black cotton cord, a stainless steel ball chain, or a stainless steel lobster claw chain.
With time and wear, your pendant's finish will naturally begin to evolve, a quick polish with a jewelry cleaning cloth works great along the way.

Meet the Maker
Handcrafted coin rings & pendants began as a hobby and quickly became an obsession. From the punches and dies, to annealing and forging, to polishing and antiquing – the process drew me in.
There were a lot of things I like making that custom tools and jigs could help with, so I started designing and making jigs, and then decided to make them available to other makers.
Coins inherently have their own story – their own history. For generations, they’ve been carried, collected, passed down, exchanged and traveled.
Turning coins into jewelry allows us to become part of that story – they travel with us. Whether keepsakes, anniversaries, birthdays, or surprises, the story continues.
Early forms of currency were bits and shapes of silver, they were “UnMinted“ coins. Over the years, they became individualized to people and groups who developed and standardized them.
I like to think that, in a way, we’re going back to the roots.

How it’s Made
I make these quarter hearts from actual US quarters. They are punched, annealed, turned into a coin ring, and then shaped using the UnMinted Heart Jig that I make.
