Meet the Maker
Hi,
My name is Jameela and I've been making clothing and accessories for myself and my children for ten years. Knowing how much clothing gets thrown into landfills every year, I try to only use second hand clothing and fabric in my creations. I have a fine arts degree, and I get my love of sewing from my mother who is a quilter. I really enjoy thrifting and upcycling the old into something new.
How it’s Made
This bag is made from scrap pieces of jeans, surged together with purple thread.
