US Lincoln Memorial Pennies were minted 1909-present - designed by Victor D. Brenner, and features a bust of Abraham Lincoln, "LIBERTY" and "In God We Trust" on the Obverse. Pennies minted after 1982 were minted in 97.5% zinc and 2.5% copper.
These skull coin earrings are handcrafted from actual US Pennies with random assorted dates, post-1982.
Handcrafted, individually unique, carefully worked, and hung from hung from stainless steel, nickel free earring hooks with silicone backings.
With time and wear, your earring's finish will naturally begin to evolve, a quick polish with a jewelry cleaning cloth works great along the way.

Meet the Maker
Handcrafted coin rings & pendants began as a hobby and quickly became an obsession. From the punches and dies, to annealing and forging, to polishing and antiquing – the process drew me in.
There were a lot of things I like making that custom tools and jigs could help with, so I started designing and making jigs, and then decided to make them available to other makers.
Coins inherently have their own story – their own history. For generations, they’ve been carried, collected, passed down, exchanged and traveled.
Turning coins into jewelry allows us to become part of that story – they travel with us. Whether keepsakes, anniversaries, birthdays, or surprises, the story continues.
Early forms of currency were bits and shapes of silver, they were “UnMinted“ coins. Over the years, they became individualized to people and groups who developed and standardized them.
I like to think that, in a way, we’re going back to the roots.

How it’s Made
The pennies are pressed into a skull impression dies using a 20 ton hydraulic press, before being polished and hung from stainless steel ear wires.
